What we collect

Price-drop alerts: when you set an alert, we store the email address you provide, the product you chose, and your target price — this is the only personal information you actively give us.

On your device: your language preference and the email you last used for an alert are kept in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

Hosting logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operations.

How we use it

We use your email address solely to send the price-drop alert you asked for. We do not send marketing email, and we never sell or share your personal information for advertising.

Where your data lives

Alert data is stored in our database hosted by Neon (PostgreSQL). Alert emails are delivered via Resend. The site runs on Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Retail price data

Product and price information shown on this site comes from retailers’ public pages and official APIs (such as the eBay Browse API). We store product listings and prices — not the personal data of any marketplace user.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links (for example via the eBay Partner Network). If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate partners may set their own cookies when you visit their sites; their privacy policies apply there.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your alerts and email address at any time by contacting hello@when2buy.com.au. You can clear the preferences stored in your browser via your browser settings.
